- Tax appointments are now available for those taxpayers who would like to prepare their own tax returns with guidance from our tax team! During your appointment, you will be provided access to the software and instructions for preparing and e-filing your federal and state tax returns for free. Our team will be there to help answer any questions you may have as you work on preparing your own return!

United Way Bay Area (UWBA) leads the coalition of hundreds of Bay Area VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) sites that provide free tax help to low-to-moderate income families.
